White Cop and Bystander Hold Down and BEAT Black Woman For JAYWALKING

The video shot by a passing motorist clearly shows a woman crossing the street, when a police officer chases her down. He grabs her by the arm, throws her to the ground and begins beating her in the head and face, even as she is flat on the concrete.

The officer is Caucasian. The woman is African American.

A second Caucasian man rushes over to help the officer to hold the woman down. This bystander decides to hold the woman’s face to the ground as the officer continues to assault her.

In all, the African American woman is hit in the face about a dozen times by the officer.

The incident happened on the Eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway near La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles.

The video recorded by the passing motorists had been posted to YouTube, which promptly removed it, saying “This video has been removed as a violation of YouTube’s policy prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten.”

There is no word from YouTube on why they removed the video when it was clearly not harassing the victim, but was exposing the bullying and harassment she faced by the rogue officer.

California Highway Patrol told local NBC 4 that it, “Would be premature to comment on the video without reviewing the entire incident,” suggesting that police think there may be circumstances under which it is justifiable for a strong, male police officer to beat a woman in the face a dozen times.

David Diaz filmed the assault. He said the woman appeared to be intoxicated or mentally ill.

“No one condones…when he gets on top of a woman, and this is a big officer, and he punches her repeatedly,” Diaz explained, adding, “She could have died out there.”

Another eyewitness recalled that woman was “shoeless, terrified and did not pose a threat.”

Watch the video report below, that retains some of the video that YouTube scrubbed. SPREAD THE WORD! Don’t let YouTube sanitize police brutality!
