Police in Minnesota shot Jamar Clark, 24, even though he was unarmed and in handcuffs. Now, Jamar has died, after being taken off life support, one day after the shooting by the police.
Local KARE 11 reports that Clark was shot in the face by police after merely arguing with paramedics.
The paramedics had been trying to treat his girlfriend, when the argument ensued.
That’s when officers Mark Ringgenberg and Dustin Schwarze came over and shot him.
Initially, the officers reported that Clark was not handcuffed, but eyewitnesses have unanimously disputed and refuted the police claims.
One of those witnesses was a 10-year-old boy. He stood only inches away from the incident, at his front door.
Ze’Morion Dillon-Hokins said, in an interview with the DailyMail, that Clark was in fact handcuffed at the time he was shot.
He added that Clark was then thrown to the ground after yelling at the officers. It was then, while he was still handcuffed, that the officers shot Clark in the face.
This shooting has been described as “execution-style” and has led to massive protests in Minnesota, even while the national mainstream media has largely ignored the protests and the kill behind it alike.
Both officers Ringgenberg and Schwarze are currently on paid administrative leave while this shooting is being investigated.
