Colorado Cop Under Investigation For Child Porn Arrested While Trying To Flee To Taiwan

A police officer at Red Rocks Community College has been under investigation in a child pornography case and was arrested Sunday at Denver International Airport while trying to flee to Taiwan.

Officer David Delaney, 28, was placed on administrative leave in July when the Golden Police Department notified the college about the criminal investigation, reported CBS Denver.

Police learned Delaney’s IP address had 31 images and videos of child pornography associated with it. When officers obtained a warrant to search his electronics, they found an image on his computer that depicted two minor females sitting on a bedroom floor with their legs spread out exposing their vaginas, according to the arrest affidavit.

He also had images showing minor girls bent over exposing their buttocks and vaginas. Delaney also had an SD card containing a 10 minute long video of a minor girl engaging in oral sex and sexual intercourse with a unidentified adult man.

Investigators learned that Delaney intended to go to Taiwan, a country that has no extradition treaty with the U.S.

Upon receiving this information, they obtained an arrest warrant for sexual exploitation of child, a class 4 felony, and took Delaney into custody at the airport.

Delaney was released on $60,000 bond, but his passport is to remain in the custody of the Golden Police Department. He is also not allowed to have internet access or out of state travel.
